Last month, #BNoirDetour offered a chance to see Lucille Ball in The Dark Corner. Unlike her zany comedienne persona, we saw a smart, sassy sidekick who could handle herself with a typewriter, a man, or murder with equal aplomb.
This month, Ball is back! This time in Lured, featuring a star-studded cast on the hunt for a psychopathic artist who kills the women who pose for him. Just look at this line-up:
I particularly love the publicity shots for this film, where Ball faces both the smooth and seductive George Sanders and the dark and dangerous Boris Karloff:

I understand entirely. I just got into the live tweeting this year. It’s fun to watch and riff along with pals online. But you can do even better with a party!
