Margaret Perry has created a “flash blogathon” in which she asks film lovers to “curate” our lives by talking about our classic film collections and related items. We are curators in our personal classic film home museums. Fun, eh?
The B Noir Detour Non-noir Film Museum, featuring my favorite stuff:
DVD collection: The Godzilla Collection
VHS collection: The Best of Ernie Kovacs
Favourite DVD: Ball of Fire
Favourite VHS: Young Frankenstein (first tape I ever bought)
Classic film related wall art: Italian poster for Sylvia Scarlett
Classic movie-related souvenir: 1975 press kit for The Stepford Wives
Object that once belonged to a classic film star: photo of Hepburn and Cukor shooting Sylvia Scarlett from Cukor’s own collection; the last picture he kept from the film.
Classic film book collection: Cukor and more Cukor!
Favourite movie star biography/autobiography: Shelley, Also Known as Shirley

Tell me more! Even in her earliest roles she was said to be opinionated and brash. She said George Cukor even slapped her face during the filming of her first real role in A Double Life!
